Project objectives and ambition

Our research will examine the differences between Industry 4.0 and Industry 5.0 to spread the awareness of it so that all industries will be practicing it. The last decade has been marked by unprecedented challenges to industrial operations, with the recent Covid-19 pandemic posing a significant threat to traditional industrial work processes. In response, the industry must take immediate action to address the situation and maintain a sustainable business.

One of the significant differences between Industry 4.0 and Industry 5.0 is that the latter takes a more collaborative approach, with increased collaboration between humans and robots. While Industry 4.0 focuses on connectivity via cyber-physical systems, Industry 5.0 also addresses the relationship between man and machine, paving the way for human-machine collaboration in plant logistics, supply chain management, and end-user activities. Furthermore, Industry 5.0 integrates human creativity and robotic precision to create a unique solution that will be in high demand in the coming decade. In summary, while Industry 4.0 paved the way for human/machine collaboration and interconnection, Industry 5.0 takes a more collaborative approach and integrates human creativity and robotic precision to create a new solution that will be in high demand in the coming decade.
